Description
Light and fluffy Cinnamon Sugar Buttermilk Biscuits are ideal for any breakfast when smothered in cinnamon butter!
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons Dixie Crystals sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup Dixie Crystals sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350*F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicon baking mat.
- In a mixing bowl, fitted with a paddle, combine the flour, baking powder, 2 teaspoons sugar, salt, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
- Cut in the butter until course crumbs appear.
- Slowly add in the buttermilk, mixing just until combined.
- Turn dough out onto a floured surface and with your hands pat it into a circle about 3/4 inch thick.
- Using a round cutter or your choosing, cut out your biscuits.
- In a small bowl mix the 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon together and roll the biscuits around in it and place on the cookie sheet.
- Repeat with remaining dough, trying to not over work it.
- Bake at 350* for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve with cinnamon butter!
